"The wild hawk stood with the down on his beak And stared with his foot on the prey".
Alfred Tennyson, The Poet's Song.
No prey at the moment, although it was looking around.
I was heading home after a short evening drive when I spotted this bird sitting on a fence post as I was driving by the spot..
Have you ever stopped dead on the road and reversed the car to capture a shot..?? Well, this is what I did. For most of the 50 or so shots the bird was looking back instead of this pose. I still have to process some others to add later on.
Used the 70mm - 300mm...handheld to get this. Processed with On1. (July 2015)
