Flowers By The Creek

I have only ever seen these flower at this time of the year and only along the sides of Bronte Creek.  This year I took the opportunity to get some photos of these flowers.  They look like a gigantic "black eyed susan" but there is not a lot of black in the centres and the plants are at least 5 feet tall.  They also seem to like the damp shores and the "sunny side" of the creek.  (Sept 2011)
