The sky has been lighting up like a Christmas tree tonight. Thunderstorms all around. Tried to get some lightning, but ended up with this. A slightly overexposed 1/4 moon with the trees in my backyard as the foreground. By this time the sky had clouded over with some high clouds to mute the "moon-shine". This is a 10 second shot, which is why the moon is overexposed. The effect of seeing the moon through the trees worked out better then planned. An appropriate frame from OnOne and the shot looks good. (sept 2011)
