December Moon (2011)

This years Moon.   I had just arrived home after shooting a childrens christmas party complete with Santa and sleigh.  I was beat.  But the moon looked inviting.  So I quickly set up the tripod, mounted the camera and added the 70 - 300mm.  I zoomed right out and set the VR to "on"....  Then I set light meter to a single spot, let the auto focus do its thing...adjusted the speed and apature to get a balance and fired away.  This was the best of the 5 shots.  A bit of sharpening with OnOne Photo Tools...and there we have it.  I really like how defined the craters at the top of this picture are so well shadowed..... Quick and simple...and it was a really good shot.  (December 2011).....and a perfectly clear evening...

I WOULD LIKE TO THANK THE PEOPLE WHO THOUGHT IT FIT TO STEAL MY IMAGE.  THERE ARE ABOUT 1700 OF YOU.  SOME ARE EVEN MAKING MONEY OFF OF THIS IMAGE.  HOWEVER, I AM THE ONE THAT HAS THE ORIGINAL AND THE META DATA TO PROVE IT.  AND WITH THE HELP OF PROGRAMS SUCH AS "TINEYE"....I KNOW WHO EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU ARE.......
