So today I had the opportunity to take my first step into Birds. In the front of my place I have a birch tree with a feeder hanging off of it. I filled it yesterday and was really hoping the the squirrels stayed away. When I looked outside this afternoon, I saw that the feeder had about 10 birds fighting to get at the food. Great opportunity for a photo. Grabbed my stuff and set up on the porch. Then this guy shows up. Popped off a few shots, of which this was the best one. The only issue I had was the "blown out" areas. I am working on a solution to correct these, and I will repost when I find one. 70mm - 300mm lens fully zoomed on a tripod. (May 2012)
