Super Moon

Last weekend was the "super moon".  I positioned myself on the top of the escarpment at a small park that overlooks Burlington.  Kerncliff park.  Well my results were less then stellar, however, with the assistance of Darryl Van Gaal, my mentor on the Google+ Astrophotography group who managed to make the proper adjustments to make this shot "pop".  So I can only take credit for the shot, not the editing.  Thanks Darryl!!

It seems that the refraction from the low angle of the moon makes it almost impossible to grab a perfect shot.  It photographs better when higher in the sky.  {because of they way we were transferring the image back and forth, the resolution is very low compared to my other photographs}  (May 2012)
