An abstract sort of shot. An old scare from a branch that was cut off of s crab apple tree a number of years ago. The tree grew over the wound to produce this opening, and I guess this year a new branch formed. This is a 5 shot combination to bring out the lines of the bark and of the scar. Some OnOne Focal point and minor adjustments and sharpening. (November 2012) NOTE: This photo was presented at a recent session of a Photography group on Google+. There were many voices of praise for this shot because of the detail and became an instant favourite.
