I was out for a bit of a cruise today. There was a ship going through the Burlington Bay lift bridge so I pulled off into one of the parking lots on the Hamilton side by the pathway. I knew it was going to take a while to pass through so I grabbed a few captures of this wonderful Chestnut tree at the side of the parking lot. Used the 70mm - 300mm for this one and some cropping. Not very much in the way of post-processing to get this looking good. (May 2013)
When I see the chestnut letting
All her lovely blossoms falter down, I think,
“Alas the day!”
