Sunday Evening, Venus and the Moon shared what astronomers call a "conjunction" when two celestial objects appear near each other when viewed from Earth. The Venus-moon sight occurred about 45 minutes after sunset in what was their closest encounter of the northern summer, fall or winter of 2013.
I was lucky enough to capture this event and also get an added bonus. I was not planning to have an aircraft fly through the scene. Used the 300mm lens. (September 2013)
