Fall Lace

Her body is not so white as anemony petals
nor so smooth—nor so remote a thing.
It is a field of the wild carrot taking
the field by force;
the grass does not raise above it.

A portion of "Queen Ann's Lace" by -
William Carlos Williams....

I had to get out of the house today, even though the pain in my knee is agonizing.  Drove to a spot I have used before for photo work.  By this time of the year most of the flowers have died off, except for the late fall ones.  This is an extreme close up of a "Queen Ann's Lace" flower that has dried up and gone to seed for this year.  I did not notice the spider webs before the shot, only after I got home and started processing.  (September 2014)
