Smokey Hollow (Grindstone Creek)

I was out this morning to try a filter combination at my favourite water falls site.    There was a guy that came up to speak to me on the outlook platform.  Seems he is a pro photographer,  We had a nice chit-chat and he suggested that to get a really good shot, it should be done at a different time of day..i.e....late afternoon or a cloudy day.

Now there are two presentations of this photo.  I have some feed back that suggests that the style of the top photo was not in my usual from.  Please comment as to which one is preferred...(July 2012)
