This another shot of the Grindstone Creek Falls. This time I took a more direct approach to get the side view of the falls. Camera and tripod in my right hand, hanging on for dear life to roots, plants and anything I figured would hold me, I slowly eased out onto the 2 foot wide, slime covered ledge. I actually had to rotate the image, in Photo Shop,as I could not get a level footing, on the ledge.
Very little processing to this shot. The double polarizing filters and the ND8 filter slowed the shot down enough to get the cottony water.
This was a 30 second shot.
The next shot is from the viewing platform right at the crest of the falls. I took this shot as a weekly entry to another Google+ group called "on the fence". I processed this to an almost B & W photo, leaving enough green in the background and the starkness of the rail. Again the 3 filters and a very long exposure. Plus a bit of an OnOne frame to give it the rustic look. (July 2012)
