Storm Clouds
It has been very hot and humid here for a number of weeks. Yesterday and today some of the humidity was released in the form of thunder and rain showers. The top photo is of a cloud formation to the south of Burlington, out over the lake, and just before sunset. This formation is called a TCU (towering cumulus) and you do not want to be flying anywhere near these.
The second picture was captured this afternoon, not by my regular camera, but by my old Nikon Coolpix 2200. It has a massive 2 mpxl of sensor and the shot was handheld. It is actually a panorama of two shots stitched together. The clouds were really dark and ominous, again out over the lake. No rain, thunder or lightning from these today....just sprinkles.
