For man, autumn is a time of harvest, of gathering together. For nature, it is a time of sowing, of scattering abroad.

Last October, 2015, after my knees were replaced I ventured out to the lakeshore for some walking (hobbling) and found the big Chestnut tree by the entrance had gone to seed. A large amount of Chestnuts lay on the ground, most had "popped" out of their protective covering.
A lady was harvesting the wind falls and I asked if I could take a photo. She agreed. This was the result. (Oct 2015)
